Sir Drelthar, the Sunbreaker, is a knight whose legend was forged in the crucible of a dying world. Born beneath the eternal blood-red sun of Kaeloth, he grew up in a land where the sun’s oppressive glare drove men to madness and the earth to ruin. As the eldest son of a blacksmith, Drelthar spent his youth tempering steel and his spirit, his hands calloused from forging tools for survival and weapons for war.

When Kaeloth fell into chaos, the sun’s harsh glow seemed to sap the hope from the hearts of its people. Drelthar’s village was overrun by marauders, leaving him as the sole survivor of the massacre. He took up his father’s final creation—a sword forged in defiance of the sun’s tyranny—and set out to bring order to the chaos that consumed his homeland.

In time, Drelthar became a figure of both hope and terror. His armor, polished to reflect the blood-red light, became a symbol of defiance against the cursed sun. He fought not only men but also the twisted beasts that emerged from the shadows, creatures thought to be born from the sun’s unnatural power.

His title, “the Sunbreaker,” was earned during a climactic battle at the Shardspire Summit, where he stood alone against a warlord wielding the power of the sun itself. Drelthar shattered the warlord’s flaming spear and cast his tyrannical forces into disarray. It was said that, for a moment, the red sun dimmed as if bowing to his might.

Now, Sir Drelthar wanders the desolate lands, his shield a bulwark against despair and his sword a beacon of hope. Though the cursed sun still hangs in the sky, its light is no longer seen as omnipotent. Wherever the Sunbreaker goes, he leaves behind whispers of redemption and rebellion, reminding all who see him that even the heavens themselves can be defied.
