One fateful battle saw Malrik face an ancient and cunning adversary, a primordial force of darkness that whispered promises of clarity and strength. In his desperation to save his realm, Malrik reached for this forbidden power, believing he could wield it without consequence. But the moment he grasped its essence, the darkness took root, twisting his celestial form and severing his bond with the light.

Cast out by his brethren, his luminous wings were scorched and transformed into leathery appendages, and his radiant armor was blackened, becoming a grim reflection of his fall. His once-holy blade was warped by the dark magic that now coursed through him, growing heavier and hungrier for destruction.

Now known as the Shadowbringer, Malrik wanders the realms as a solitary figure, his heart a battlefield of rage and regret. Though his mind remains his own, he is haunted by the whispers of the darkness that claimed him, urging him toward ruin. Some believe he seeks redemption, while others whisper that he is an omen of destruction, his presence heralding calamity.
