Long ago, Maldrak was known as Eldrin Tyros, a devoted guardian of the celestial realms. He was a noble protector, tasked with shielding the mortal world from the encroaching forces of darkness. Eldrin’s faith and sense of duty were unshakable—until the fateful day he discovered the Heart of Cindralis, an ancient relic said to grant limitless power but at great cost.

Drawn to the relic’s fiery crimson glow, Eldrin sought to seal it away, as it pulsed with corruptive energy. But the whispers of the Heart spoke to him, feeding his hidden doubts about the gods he served. “Why toil in servitude?” it taunted. “Why protect those who neither know nor honor your name?” The seeds of doubt took root, and Eldrin began to question whether his unwavering loyalty was in vain.

Desperate to prove his strength and free himself from celestial chains, he attempted to wield the Heart, hoping to use its power for good. Instead, the relic’s corruption consumed him. His once-golden armor blackened, his radiant wings twisted into shadowy, leathery forms, and his soul became tethered to the very darkness he had sworn to destroy. From that day forward, he was no longer Eldrin Tyros; he became Maldrak, The Shadowborn.

Maldrak now roams the mortal and celestial realms as an outcast, a figure of fear and tragedy. Consumed by his own inner turmoil, he wields the Blade of Silent Ash, a weapon forged from his broken oath. The sword burns with the sorrow of his betrayal and the anger of his lost purpose. The swirling red glow in his chest is the remnant of the Heart of Cindralis, both a curse and a source of immense power.
