Drenath Oryndal was once a noble knight sworn to protect the Kingdom of Vaelcrest. He was a man of unwavering loyalty and a fierce defender of justice. However, his destiny took a dark turn when he stumbled upon the Pyreshard, an ancient relic buried deep within the Ashen Vale—a cursed battlefield where countless warriors had perished.

The Pyreshard offered Drenath unimaginable power but demanded a heavy price: his humanity. When he grasped the shard, it fused with his sword, engulfing the blade in eternal flames and granting him the strength to incinerate any foe. Yet, the flames also cursed his soul, filling his heart with anger and sorrow.

Unable to return to his former life, Drenath wandered the lands, torn between the power he wielded and the destruction it caused. His burning sword became both a symbol of hope and terror—he saved villages from monstrous threats but left scorched earth and fear in his wake.

Drenath now walks a lonely path, seeking redemption while struggling against the curse’s influence. The fiery blade, though a tool of his noble mission, whispers temptations of destruction, challenging his resolve with every swing. To many, he is a savior; to others, a harbinger of ruin. The name “Flamebearer” is spoken with both reverence and dread, for wherever Drenath Oryndal treads, the world burns brighter—and darker.
