Description
Darius Vorthas was once a loyal knight of the Kingdom of Eldria, renowned for his unmatched skill in both swordplay and defensive tactics. Born into a family of blacksmiths, he was destined to wield weapons of his own making. By the age of fifteen, Darius had forged his own blade, a masterpiece known as Bloodveil, named for the reddish hue of the alloy used in its creation.
Though he served with honor in his early years, Darius’s life took a darker turn during the Siege of Blackthorn Keep. His battalion was ambushed, and the enemy slaughtered his comrades. Betrayed by corrupt commanders who had sold out their own forces, Darius found himself the lone survivor amidst a sea of blood and corpses. That day, his heart hardened, and his oath of fealty shifted. No longer would he serve lords and kings who valued gold over the lives of their people.
Darius became a wandering knight, driven by a thirst for vengeance and justice on his own terms. To some, he was a savior, protecting villages and crushing bandit hordes. To others, he was a menace, bringing ruin to nobles who stood in his way. The blood splatters on his armor are both a mark of his victories and a grim reminder of his refusal to show mercy to those he deems guilty.
The red cape he wears was taken from his fallen captain, dyed permanently with the blood of their enemies during that fateful ambush. It serves as a symbol of his resolve: to shield the innocent and punish the wicked, no matter how much blood must be spilled.
