Draziel Chronis was once a devoted knight in service to the Order of the Eternal Sanctum, an ancient brotherhood tasked with guarding relics that bound time and fate. As a young man, Draziel was admired for his unshakable faith and valor. His weapon, the Hourblade, was said to hum with the whispers of forgotten ages, a gift bestowed upon him by the High Clerics when he swore his life to the Sanctum.

One fateful day, the Sanctum discovered the Oblivion Clock, an artifact buried deep beneath the ruins of a lost empire. This clock, its hands unmoving, was believed to measure not hours but the life force of the world itself. When its hands moved, it signaled the end of an era. A prophecy warned of a “Guardian,” destined to wield the clock’s power either to preserve the world or unravel it.

Though unprepared, Draziel was chosen as the Keeper of the Final Hour when he inadvertently activated the clock during a raid by the Order’s enemies. As the clock’s gears roared to life, he saw visions of countless futures, many drenched in despair, and the weight of responsibility began to twist his once-pure soul. Torn between his desire to protect the world and his growing disillusionment with its unending cycles of suffering, Draziel isolated himself, refusing counsel even from his closest allies.

Now, centuries later, he wanders a shattered world, the Hourblade growing heavier with each choice he is forced to make. The crosses around him mark the graves of those he failed to save—or those he was forced to silence. He prays not for redemption but for clarity in his purpose. The clock’s face looms behind him always, its hands ticking ever closer to the final moment.
