Long ago, Draven Ashbane was a noble knight sworn to protect the Kingdom of Solthar. Renowned for his unmatched skill with the blade and unwavering loyalty, he rose to prominence as a champion of justice. However, his downfall came during a desperate campaign against the Shadow Plague—a corruption that consumed all it touched. To save his people, Draven ventured into the heart of the Wraithspire, a cursed tower where the plague had originated.

Inside, he discovered an ancient relic, the Veilstone, pulsing with dark energy. Driven by the need to end the plague, Draven shattered the stone with his sword, releasing its power. Though the corruption was purged from the land, it came at a terrible cost—Draven himself became the vessel for the Veilstone’s power.

Now, clad in armor forged from the Veilstone’s essence, Draven wanders the realms as The Veilforged. The black smoke that surrounds him is both his curse and his weapon, feeding on his anguish and will. His blade, stained crimson from the countless battles fought to protect the innocent, serves as a reminder of his tragic fate.

Some see Draven as a hero who sacrificed everything to save his people. Others fear him, calling him a harbinger of doom who spreads the shadows he once sought to destroy. Draven walks a solitary path, burdened by the knowledge that he is both savior and scourge, his soul teetering on the edge of light and darkness.
