Once a noble protector of the Celestial Order, Veydran was a beacon of light and virtue, his wings a symbol of divine grace. But his unwavering pursuit of justice led him to uncover forbidden truths hidden deep within the Vault of Ages—secrets that the Celestial Order had suppressed for eons. Among these truths was the existence of the “Umbra Pact,” a dark covenant binding the celestial realm to an ancient force of shadow.

When Veydran confronted the Order, he was accused of heresy and cast out, his name stricken from their annals. Furious and betrayed, he sought the forbidden power he once condemned, drawing upon the shadows to forge the blade Nyxgrieve, a weapon that bleeds the darkness it was forged to control. Over time, the shadow’s influence twisted Veydran’s soul, turning his wings black and his once-righteous cause into a bitter vendetta.

Now known as the Shadowbearer, Veydran walks the border between light and darkness. He wields his blade against both the Order that betrayed him and the forces of shadow that seek to consume him. Neither wholly good nor truly evil, Veydran is driven by a singular purpose: to shatter the chains of the Umbra Pact and restore balance, even if it means destroying the very realms he once swore to protect.
